Mount Ledang Waterfall is located in Tangkak, Johor. It is an exciting swimming pool with water fall and is surrounded with rain forest. Please get ready with:

1.Suitable clothing.
2.Slippers or sandals
3.Plastic sheet or plastic mat
4.Food and drink
5.Towels (please bring your own)

About Oyster Reef

The history of Muar oysters has been cited in various writings since year 1858.

During those days, Muar and Tangkak were located in the same district called Muar. It was an area beeing described as a district of country which was rarely visited by the European, extremely beautiful and capable of agricultural advancement to any extent. The "river is famous for its oyster beds, the fish being very large and of excellent flavor ", (J.R. Logan, 1858).

Oysters live in salty or brackish waters, clustering on older shells or any hard and submerged surface materials. They fuse together as they grow, forming rock-like reefs that provide habitat for other animals and plants. Despite the fact that oyster reefs are shrinking now due to developments and human impacts, we are still lucky to be able to see the remaining oyster population here. It is with Universiti Putra Malaysia that we are going to further the research and discovery.
